 Weight Gain after IV Infusion
Has anyone that has done the IV Infusion gained weight afterwards? I did 7 days of Ferrlecit (1 hour a day with the infusions split over 2 weekends). In the 35 days from original office visit to set-up the infusions to the follow-up visit after the treatment, I gained 17 pounds. That is 1/2 a pound per day!
In addition to Iron Deficiency Anemia, I also have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis. The physician wasn't concerned about the weight gain, I just needed to add more exercise in was the response. I asked to have my thyroid tested. I did those labs today just in case the infusion affected my Hashimoto's.
The IV did help. I'm finally within the bottom of the normal ranges in all the important areas. I am returning to supplementing with iron pills, to help maintain this level. I don't think these will increase my levels since the pills never did before.
