anemia
Hi a friend of mine was going to be admitted for a blood trans fusion due to anemia, but they advised at the hospital just to take 3 iron tablets a day, she understands that it could take a while for her to feel better, what she would like to know would iron injections make her feel better quicker as she has been tablets before but make her really constipated would appreciate any feedback many thanks

Injectable iron is absorbed better, but is very irritating to the tissue. Iron can also be given IV, for true iron deficiency anemia, she should see a hematologist.
