Iron stores are the bodys iron reserves held in the tissues for future use, as opposed to the iron in the blood being used right now - a bit like the difference between money in the bank and money in your wallet.
If I were you, I'd buy some 65mg iron tablets, and also some 500mg vitamin c tablets, and take one of each every morning (the vitamin c can substantialy increase the amount of iron the body adsorbs from a pill)
