Re: what to eat

it sounds to me like you might have celiac's disease. have they tested for that? if you do it's a pretty strict diet from what I hear.

Hi Jonathanb, I too have anemia and some trouble keeping on weight. Try the floowing and it might help. I'm not going to suggest a radicle change in your eating style because that usually never works. Most of us usually fall back on our old way of eating. Do you like smoothies? Well I make one that keeps my weight and strength up. Presently I'm using Mangos, Papaya, and bannanas, low fat gogurt, milk if you can handle it and if not then a juice of your choice, add Whey for protein because it provides the amino acids we need, throw in a handful of walnuts, good for your heart and will push up the colories and put that in a blender and whip it into a smoothy. Depending on how much you're able to use, this will make a least a quart of delicious neutrition. Then eat what you like, but take four eight ounce glass of this four times a day and you'll see the weight gradually go up. This can be done with many fruits, apples, pears, peaches, etc. The gogurt, whey and walnuts are most important. Oh yes, after your evening meal have a piece of chocolate, which is good for you, have two pieces once in a while. I'm suggesting this because I suspect that your stomach is small and big meals might only make you feel sick. In fact you should eight 5 or 6 small meals to start out with, but always drink the smoothy. Good luck and if you try it let's us hear how you're doing. All the best. Awlright
