Question Anemia and Brain Damage

Can anemia, specifically congenital anemia from fetal blood loss cause brain damage in a newborn and if yes then to what extent?

Blood levels are critical to oxygenating organs so yes a severe loss could reasonably cause impairment. The degree of impairment would depend on the amount of blood lost and/or the timing of transfusion (if blood was given).

If you dont mind me asking... what was the specific reason for blood loss (unknown, placental abruption, hemmorage, multiple blood tests, etc)?
