Hello, I am new here and have never posted a medical question but thought perhaps you smart people could help me out and answer a questions for me, with my stats below am I anemic:
Your numbers are pretty bad. Normal iron for women is 37-170. Normal ferritin is 10-204. Ferritin is your stores, most people don't report even feeling well till their ferritin numbers reach 50-70 and we are talking about an umber that can go all the way up to 200. My main thing with ferritin is, it takes forever to raise and I'm talking months, unless you do IV Iron. If you are doing iron therapy the oral route, it takes a long while. 2 numbers missing here, hematocrit and hemoglobin, do you happen to have these?
Your B12 is WAY to low and you need to do something about it as well. This is just no good to be low on and having low B12 with anemia is pretty common.
Another thing to remember when dealing with anemia, it's just a symptom of a larger issue. Heavy bleeding, ulcers, Celiac's, etc. You are going to want to find out what is going on there as well. Hopefully your Dr's have started you on some sort of therapy and if they have not you should try eating foods high in iron or get some over the counter iron pills and take them with a tall glass or orange juice. You need to be treated, for anemia as well as B12 deficiency. Iron takes a long while to rebuild.

You poor thing. My iron was 36 and I had a grayish color to my skin and felt so tired. Been on iron starting october, but it doesn't seem to be absorbing well. I started liquid ferrous sulfate. Hopefully you will get good treatment for this.
