| Bad Reaction to Dextran
So I had a pretty bad reaction during my third infusion to the Dextran this summer. I was in a lot of pain and couldn't even rest my head on anything because it was so painful. I kept throwing up and was just so ill. Thankfully, some of the iron stayed in my body but each month, the ferritin scores were getting lower and lower. We're back to no iron. So I am going in again. This time they are giving me Venofer.
Has anybody had both? How would you compare them? Sounds like the Venofer IVs are shorter in duration but I would have more of them? Did anybody here react to the Venofer, if so, what type of reaction did you have? Any information is greatly appreciated. Yes, I'm a little nervous. Thanks.
