Advice on how to proceed with doctors?
Hello, I am new at this site, and newly diagnosed with anemia. My out of range numbers are as follows:

RBC 2.54
Hemoglobin 7.2
Hematocrit 0.23
Neutrophils 1.7
Ferritin less than 5

Just over a year ago, blood work was all within normal range. Can you give me any ideas what I should be asking the doctor, and what I should be doing in the meantime?

Are you taking iron? You should be taking iron and then you should be having your levels rechecked every month to see if it's raising. Basically, you just need to get your iron up and your doctor is supposed to be monitoring your progress. Best of luck!
