Hey all,
I saw the hematologist today. He took a blood draw, 5 hours later his nurse called and said that he was going to need to do iron infusions. So I am scheduled to start next Wed. They would not go over my labs with me on the phone. She said the doctor would do that when I saw him. It is suppose to take six hours, I can bring one person and a computer.

I figure they must have dropped since when my Ferritin was at 5, Iron serum 13 and hemoglobin 9 when he saw me this morning he was still talking oral iron.

I lost 9 pounds in the last 10 days as well. Still running fevers, with night sweats and a cough. I hope they figure this out soon.

I have lost 40 pounds in the last 4 months...has anyone else lost weight with their anemia?
