i saw your post the other day but didn't have the time to post. if you posted this question up on the brain boards way up towards the top of the forums,you may get some replys up there. alot of people up and myself included have gone thru this too. mine was coiled back in 2005 shortly after it was found in my left cerrebellar artery.
just what types of specialists have you seen for a consult on what your options are? mine was just slightly bigger than yours is. it was not accessable with a craniotomy which kind of made me happy since that really was the very last thing i wanted to do for mine. luckily,if your aneurysm has a 'neck" on it, in most cases,it IS coilable. that is what i chose just because i personally could not stand the thought of having this little thing in my brain that may or may not let go on me at some point. it's just a choice that you DO have if its possible. my whole procedure was done and over pretty quickly. i spent the rest of that procedure day in the ICU,just in case there were complications,and was allowed to go home the next day. couldn't believe it actually. i went thru a wonderful and very experienced neuro interventional radiologist for this. they can do some really amazing things these days. if you could answer the questions i asked i would be more than happy to try ad help you out with this. marcia
