I see you are not in US, so my input may not be exactly on target for your country's laws. Yes, YOU as a patient have the right to know about your options. All of them, including not treating your aneurysm. Even if you choose to accept a surgical option, again, you have a say in what they do or what supplemental interventions may be used (like a blood transfusion). I would suggest writing down your most important questions to take with you to ask. Some people bring in pages of questions, but based on appointment time, only get let's say 10 answered but most important one was on their last page.
I, too have a new diagnosis of aneurysm. I'm exploring my options. I want to be here for my daughter and one day, my grands; yet, I am hesitant about surgery. I have learned of the possible complications and a couple of them are difficult for me.
