Almost two years ago I was diagnosed with printzmetal variant angina and I´m wondering if others diagnosed with this have some of the same problems.
Current problem is the tiredness. I´ve mentioned it to my regular doctor and she claims that it have nothing to do with the printzmetal variant angina. And yet it was one of the first simptons when I startet to get sick
I´m on medical treatmeant with Angicor and Isoptin and of course Nitrolingual for the cramps, but I still have angina at least twice a week, and that´s in a good period. In a bad period it´s every day and often two or three times a day. Does anyone have any good advice?

Before you got sick, did you have any chest pains?
What kind of a sickness did you have?

Did you have chest pains before you were put on the Isoptin? It is a calcium channel blocker. I was on it. If I took any calcium product, like cheese, within two hours of taking my Isoptin, it gave me all kinds of nasty heart problems.

Never.

The only medication I was taking before the whole thing started, is Zocor due to hereditary increased cholesterol.

It started with the tiredness, then shortness of breath and finally the chest pressure.
When I finally went to the doctor and she did an ECG, they sent me to the hospital to have it checked out right away. Acoarding to the ECG my heart wasn´t getting enough oxygin. They did a bounch of test, and after 5 days I was sent home with the diagnose variant angina.
I was on cholesterol meds. When I took it with Isoptin, it not only gave me chest pains, but it made my heart goes nuts. It made my heart pound, and beat fast. So I had to stop using the cholesterol med.

Hmm interesting, I´ve never heard of this sideeffect before. I take Isoptin in the morning and Zocor right before going to bed at night.
I don´t see it as an option for me to stop taking the cholesterol meds, cause several in my family have died due to blodclots. Besides the specialists are talking about increasing my doses of Zocor, cause my numbers are to high.
