| Need to burp + chest pain = angina/heart problem?
I know this is a lot more difficult equation to figure out that it should be. I know that a lot of people on here post questions regarding whether their chest pain is angina, some other heart problem, or GERD.
I frequently have chest pain coupled with the feeling that if I get a good burp out that I will feel better. However, I am never able to burp. I know this sounds more like GERD (or some other acid reflux) than a heart thing (especially since I have had a negative EKG, echo, etc.), but I remember someone a while ago on here saying that heart pain often presents as indigestion and the need to burp but not being able to. Maybe that is true, but that is more what happens during a heart attack and not the kind of thing that would go on for more than year, right? Also, my chest pain is always left of center and below my left ribs, and never in the middle of my chest where I believe reflux pain would present.
Any insight would be GREATLY appreciated. This is so damn confusing and frustrating!!!
