Im age 49 now experiencing stinging left chest pains with so
me shortness of breath and irregular heartbeat. Can someone tell me whats going on. This is first time ive ever had it and its scary
Do you feel pressure in your chest, even slight or any indigestion? If today is the first time you have experienced it I would strongly suggest you get it checked out, and if it gets worse as the night goes on, go to an ER.
I see you posted this about 1 this afternoon, do you feel better or worse?
Take care...JJ...

Stinging left pain has been off and on for 3 days.i have no pressureor indigestion or numbness..when i take my pulse its seems always irregular...thanks jj
When was the last time you had a good physical? I think for your own well being and peace of mind I'd make an appt. to get checked. It could be absolutely nothing, or something that needs attention. When it comes to the heart area, never keep trying to self diagnose. We are not professionals here so can't really diagnose you, only give some advice.
Best wishes...JJ..

I guess since my husband had a mild heart attack in Nov. I am getting paranoid about heart symptoms. He had very slight pressure and slight shortness of breath, he blamed it on his cold. Sunday before Thanksgiving he still didn't feel any better even though he stayed in bed all day sat. I decided he needed looking at so took him to the VA ER sunday morning.
They did an EKG..blood work..chest X-ray and everything looked fine but they admitted him for observation and were going to do a stress test monday morning. During the night his Troponin levels went up so they skipped the stress test and did an angioplasty and found a blocked artery. They cleaned it and put in 2 stents. Drs. said had he waited another week he would have probably had a full blown heart attack. Luckily there was no damage to the heart.
Get a checkup, and keep me posted...JJ...
