You need a good gastroenterologist to sort out your reflux problems. It can take a while to find the right medication. It's all a bit of a vicious circle really- you are stressing about the pain/discomfort of what sounds like uncontrolled GERD symptoms, & the stress itself is almost certainly making your symptoms worse.
I have found there are two things that have helped me a lot with GERD symptoms at night. I don't eat or drink anything during the evening. I have dinner & that's it! The other thing is I find it very helpful to lie on my left side in bed- eases things a lot!
If your symptoms continue then perhaps you should have your heart thoroughly checked out- for your peace of mind.
