Breathing exercises, simple yet effective

A couple of years ago I started getting anxiety attacks after getting some bad news from my doctor. My friend recommended that I take a breathing class, which was basically learning how to control your breaths and incorporating it with medication. I know it sounds weird, but just taking a couple of minutes in the morning and at night concentrating on taking deep breaths is very relaxing and my anxiety attacks are gone.
