Paxil Question..... - Anxiety Message Board

Ok this is about my fourth week of taking Paxil at a dose of 20mg's a day. The last two days or so I have been feeling really weird and when I wake up in the night or in the morning, my pupils are HUGE! and they stay this way for awhile. My face also feels a little warmer than usual as well...

Is this normal??

Ok come on guys.. think a bit eh... These pharmaceatical companies and doctors are pushing these stupid meds, just SO THEY CAN MAKE MONEY. They don't actually make you feel better, they are bullsh*T! And you people know it.

They banned GHB, just because it was available on shelfs, and because it was much safer, and just because doctors and pharm companies weren't making money off of it, they go out and ban it.

GHB is a much safer drug.... This Paxil is horseshit, it makes your pupils large as *****. I look like I just hit two lines of cocaine, or popped mushrooms...

I mean come on people, you people go too far in believing in doctors and pharms. Its all a MONEY MAKING SCHEME. USE YOUR HEADS.

paxil is often useful but the early side effects can be rough, worth remembering that paxil is simply 1 of many SSRI or prozac type meds, and theres nothing necessarily miraculous about paxil
I suggest yopu maybe reduce the dose a while but stay on it as it may well start working in 1 or 2 weeks

anyone else find that paxil doesnt do anything?

My Dr. wants me to go on Paxil (start at 10mg and increase to 25mg). I don't really want go on any SSRI's or similar drugs. I've currently got a prescription for Xanax that I've had to use once. My mother is on Zoloft, and has been on it for a while, and is much better on it, but I am not my mother and I do not want to be my mother. I just started with Anxiety symptoms a few months ago, and I'd really like to find a way to keep it under control without the use of these drugs, I don't want to go on anything that will alter my brain chemistry unless I absolutely have to, although at times I get scared that the Anxiety will just get worse.
Those of you on or who have been on Paxil, what is your opinion/reaction?
