Withdrawel after 3 weeks shouldn't be bad at all. You won't be quitting immediately, either... you'll be weened. Talk to your doctor! However, if you are like me and too thick headed to deal with docs... I've quit cold turkey on some meds. On others, the ones I was on for a long time, I've cut back by a 1/4-1/8 tablet per dose, per week.
On the other hand, the side effects of antidepressants are the worst in the first few weeks of taking them. As your body adjusts to the new medication, it will learn to balance your chemistry and the side effects should subside. 3 weeks is not enough time for your body to do this, nor for most drugs, is it enough time for them to start working.
From personal experience, the meds that worked the best had the least side effects in the beginning. However, EVERYONE reacts differently to these meds, so your experience may be different. If you read the info that comes with your medication, they normally say that the mechanism "is presumed to be".... they used to say that the mechanism is unknown. In other words, no one knows exactly how the drugs work and the fact that everyone tends to respond differently is a big factor.
If it were me, I'd give it a couple of more weeks, providing that it helps with your problems, and I'd see if the side effects diminish. Again, talk to your doctor.
