Anxiety and Stomach Problems...

Hey guys... About a week ago i sneezed and pulled something in my groin.. .well because im a hypochondriac i was nervous that something bad happened... well a week later (of constant worrying) my groin feels a lot better, but my stomach still aches... its like sharp gassy pains... is this normal for anyone? to sort of "Screw up" your stomach due to prolonged stress... the gas pains move around, so its not localized, but i feel like i put so much stress on my body that it is sorta trying to get back to normal... how do your bodies react to stress?

Re: Anxiety and Stomach Problems...

Several people who have anxiety also have stomach problems.

Re: Anxiety and Stomach Problems...

I have always had stomach problems with anxiety. Could it be possible that you have a hernia? I don't want to worry you more, but it could feel like that, and is easily corrected.

Re: Anxiety and Stomach Problems...

thanks dizzy! ive thought about that... if it doesnt get better by monday im going to go to a dr. and have him look at it... the groin itself feels better, but my lower abdomen has some pressure, so im going to have it checked out... the problem for me, being a hypochondriac as well as having anxiety disorder is any natural discomfort is amplified by the stress aches and pains!

Re: Anxiety and Stomach Problems...

I know what ya mean. People like us are super sensitive and very in tune with our bodies even to a fault right? Good luck, and let us know!
