Exclamation Ladies?

Hi,
I was wondering, Ladies, Any of you with panic or anxiety skip any periods when it gets really bad? I have skipped two periods and I'm not pregnant, I took two pregnancy test and they came back negative, Plus I had an ultra sound done today on my stomach and they wouldve seen a baby if there was one. I'm starting to get concerned, I feel like my hormones are getting all whacky, I'll cry at the drop of a hat and then I'll be throwing things the next second. I'm scared

Re: Ladies?

Hi there,

My periods have always been a bit irregular, I've had the odd late one since being anxious. Anxiety can cause many changes in the body therefore I would think it could affect your hormones, or maybe you just have a slight hormone inbalance. Some years ago before I had anxiety I didn't have a period for 3 months and that was due to a hormonal problem, which resolved itself. If you don't get a period soon and are still worried see your doctor again and ask for some hormonal blood tests.

Take care,

Lisa-jane

Re: Ladies?

Hey - get your thyroid tested. Anxiety, lack of period and other symptoms can also be due to a hyperthyroid. Look it up on the internet and see if it fits. It may be anxiety, but it also may be this. Just a suggestion.

Re: Ladies?

I've dealt with irregular periods for awhile with my anxiety. Always thought it was connected to the stress, but now I'm going to get my thyroid checked. Thanks for the info.!
