please? i am on my 3rd day of zoloft. 12.5 mg. i have had palpitations x2 today and i cant stop dwelling on it. is it normal...is something wrong...anyone here?
Re: is anyone on that can talk me thru this attack??
Angel, I hope you are feeling better. I took Zoloft for a very short time. I did not have any adverse reactions but I did not feel it was helping with my anxiety. In all honesty though, I probably did not give it enought time. I don't know if palpitations are a normal reaction to this medication and I hope someone who is better aquainted with it will post to try to give you some reassurance. I just wanted to check to see if you still needed someone to talk to.

Having dealing with anxiety/panic attacks over 15 years, I can tell you one thing for sure....palpitations are normal, however, when youre anxious, and
you have one, they seem worse and only make you feel more anxious...
Its been my experience, after zillions of trips to the ER, that if you take a deep breath, and cough a couple times after the palpitation, it helps....
Just me, but it works...
Good luck.
I'm sure its not the medicine. I'm sure its stress.

I have them too. I started taking Magnesium 400 and Calcium 1000 with zinc and copper from GNC 2 times a day and it really helps with the heart palps. They are only 6.99 a bottle of 180 too. I ran out and noticed that my palps were more noticable while not taking them. I have gone back on them and now they are gone almost. Good luck.
