I take 10 mg of lexapro daily(in the am) Occasionally at night I will get those anious feelings and cant sleep so Ill take a half of a zanax- Do you think there is any problems with occasionally mixing the 2?
I was also on Lexapro and Xanax together, they are fine. But I stopped taking the Lexapro because it made me jumpy when I tried to sleep. The Doc said to take it earlier in the day, but nothing helped. So I stopped the Lexapro and everything is fine.

UPDATE:
My Doc said I was having painc attacks at night now as well! He suggested either an extra Xanax at bedtime or Ambien. Don't give up on the Lexapro unless you just can't tolerate it.

I must say thank you and that i havent given up on the lexapro, it is wonderful! Its just every once in a great while that Ill take a half of zanax- I just wanted to make sure I wasnt doing harm to myself. The Lexapro has done wonders for me! I take it every morning, about the same time, 8am. No problems with it at all!
Read my new post about Lexapro Zanax & kolonapin I am a new member so sorry I don't have much advice. I can tell you I hear you thogut & feel I am in the same boat. My Dr. recently upped my dose to 30 mg and I am so out of it. Can hardly get out of bed. Do you feel depressed at all> Did you start taking it for anxiety? sorry for all the ??'s
Hi!
Are you saying the Lexapro was upped to 30mg? I don't think mine was that high, however after that I did try the new Cymbalta and was unable to work or even get out of bed, I slept all the time, although I was told it would pass in time, but so was my life, so I stopped taking it after several weeks of sleeping constantly.
I have been on Wellbutrin XR for 1 1/2 years now and 5mg of Xanax for 13 years and I love it!
I have worked all year and am doing great.
