Thanks Hry33 (is it Harry?...just curious)
I know that Effexor and Cymbalta are very similiar in their dual uptake inhibition, and effexor is fda approved for GAD and SAD. I've also read that Cymbalta is quicker to work on the neophedrine (whatever) part, and effexor requires a higher dose to begin working on that aspect. Taking that into consideration, I would figure that Cymbalta would be as effective as effexor...its just that its new and perhaps hasn't had enough time to get FDA approval for other disorders.
That being said, I still have grave reservations in regards to all the horror stories that are out there in terms of discontinuation. But I've practically run the gamut on SSRIs and am running out of options.
Thanks again.
