Is Paxil still difficult to give up or wean from, the way it used to be? I'd like to ask my doctor about maybe switching from Lexapro to Paxil at my next appt (next week).
Lexapro 10 mg works ok, but I still feel anxious and upset. I can't increase the dose b/c I feel very nauseated from 10 mg.
I've also tried Zoloft (allergic reaction) and Remeron (made me too tired and hungry).
I'm starting to feel discouraged - my doctor and I have been trying to find the right medication for close to 8 months now. Lexapro seems to work the best, but I need a little more of it.
So that's why I'm now asking about Paxil. Thanks for any advice about it.
You'll get different opinions on stopping Paxil, but it's no different than any of the other SSRI's, you just wean off gradually; As far as the Lexapro, 10mg of that equals 20 of Paxil... You could always give the Paxil a try, Works for me.
