Social Anxiety any medicine recommended for it - Anxiety Message Board

Hello everyone, i suffer form a sever case of soacial anxiety disorder, and I have tried a number of meds during the past years but none have helped me much, and its been a few years since I have tried anything, can anyone recommend anything for social anxiety, i want to get a job so bad, but I get so nervous around crowds and out in the streets, even while driving

if you can find an antidepressant med that works for you it will be a big help, otherwise valium type meds always help for a while

Hi and thanks for your response, I have wellbutrin, and ativan at home I am not sure how good they are since I only use ativan once in a while and didnt use wellbutrin for a long e nough time to know if it works.

were you prescribed the wellbutrin for anxiety or depression?

Hi it was prescribed for both, but i stopped taking it after I felt a numbing/tingling in my head, someone told me that the numbing happens when the dose is too high, doc started me on 300mg at the time. I heard xanax is better for social anxiety?
