Question Someone please help me!!

I suffer from anxiety disorder, and lately I have been suffering from almost constant panic attacks. I have a huge problem with negitave thinking, and well lets say I think ALOT. I also got knots in my back that I believe may be putting pressure on some nerves. My right arm goes numb and sometimes my right leg. I got a burning pain in my left shoulder blade. But lately I have been noticing my veins in my feet, palms, top of hands, wrist, chest, shoulders, and legs becoming more and more visible, in my palms, wrist, and feet they are sometimes bulging. The portion of my palm right under my thumb is sometimes blue. I am pale and may be anemic, been off and on thoughout my life. And when I raise my arms or feet the bulging stops but what is really going on here? Is this part of my anxiety? Someone please help me!!

Re: Anyone else noticing blood vessels becoming more visible?

Unfortunately i cant for definate if this is anxiety but i have been experiencing the same thing. I am constantly worrying about my health along with other things and i have a lot going on with by body and skin right now. Just lately though i have noticed my veins are more noticeable and sometimes the part of the hand that you described looks quite blotchy and sometimes blue. I am putting this down to being constantly anxious right now but hopefully there will be more response on this post for the both of us.

Re: Anyone else noticing blood vessels becoming more visible?

Anxiety --> higher blood pressure --> move visible blood vessels

Raise hands --> lower blood pressure due to gravity --> less visible blood vessels

Tissues use oxygen in blood leads to red-blue colour change --> blue veins

Numbness as in lack of feeling =lack of oxygen to area, hence receptors for touch switch off, but pain (dull/burning) receptors switch on. This happens transiently all the time as blood pressure readjusts and usually only the pain/tingling effect happens. Anything that disturbs your blood pressure regulation such as anxiety will increase all these things. Numbness (true numbness as in complete lack of ability to feel touch & pain) is, if it occurs, unlikely to be related to anxiety, except in the cases of psychosomatic illness where very very extreme emotion can cause paralysis, numbness, etc.
