Question Valerian Root - Does it Work?

Has anyone tried Valerian Root, and does it work for treating anxiety?

Has anyone had any toxicity complications from taking it? Thanks.

Re: Valerian Root - Does it Work?

Hi

I have tried it, and it does help. I loved Kava Kava, and it worked really well, but there have been reports of potential liver damage, so I quit taking it.

Go buy some of the valerian root at the health store to make sure you get a good brand. It should help you

Thumbs up Re: Valerian Root - Does it Work?

Calms Forte works!

I woke up this morning and started thinking about my blood pressure (health anxiety). So, I decided to take a Calms Forte tablet which I had purchased last night and after hearing from several people that it's worked for their anxiety. It worked - I stopped thinking about it and even when it did enter my mind I didn't care about it (no anxiety)!

Are there any side effects (long term or short) of Calm Forte? Is it safe?

I haven't found anything claiming it's bad for you in any way. It's homeopathic. I barely started taking it, so I don't know about any possible long-term effects.

I've found it at Walmart and Rite Aid.

Re: Valerian Root - Does it Work?

I have been taking calms forte for almost 2 months and it works great, i dont feel nauseated, no fainting feelings, no more hot flashes etc... but it only works to a certain extent for me, it makes the anxiety disappear but now i am suffering from hypochindria for the last two months, ive jumped from disease to disease but for the last month ive been stuck on this one disease and i cant shake it, back to the calms forte, it works very good and i suggest you take one tablet, 3 times a day. I called calms forte to see if it was ok to take it for a long period of time and they said absolutley no side effects etc... i even showed my doctors calms forte and they said if it works go for it, it does in my case. One of my doctors told me after reading the ingredients they are mainly vitamins with a few herbs.
