Scared! Need Feedback :) - Anxiety Message Board

Hello Everyone, Hope you all are doing okay today...I just had a quick question. Yesterday my doctor upped my dose of Zoloft from 50 mg to 100 mg daily, he also prescribed me .5 mg Klonapin twice daliy (replacing, the xanax 1 mg that I was taking for anxiety 3 times daily for about 2 weeks) Anways, I was just wondering if anyone could tell me if they have taken Klonapin and what doses they take, etc. Side effects would be great to know and success stories even greater....I have extremely bad anxiety pretty much every day (Along with other health issues, that I believe cause my to be scared alot of my health, leading to anxiety) Last year I went into anaphalactic shock from an antiobiotic and my heart stopped beating and I had no blood pressure...Very scary, It was all luck that I made it through that when I easily could have died. I had taken that antibiotic for years battling a bone infection, osteomyelitis in my forehead and then all the sudden one day, boom, full fledged allergic reaction-anaphalactic shock. I couldnt breathe at all, my chest felt like knives were stabbing me, I was blowing up like a balloon, I soon passed out, remembering very very little....woke up the next day to hear all the details of what happened. Since then, I have had the anxiety, I believe that caused alot of my problems. I had nightmares for months afterwards and they would basically be the whole thing playing again in my mind..

Well then a few days ago, I had another allergic reaction, this one to a spider bite, which didnt know i was even allergic to. I didnt go into anaphalactic shock but my legs, hands, feet, basically my whole body swelled up, got short of breathe, and went to the ER....talk about anxiety!!!

I feel as if this is the root to alot of my anxiety, we are headed up to MAYO clinic soon to have a complete allergy testing done...because nowhere around here does them, at least not for what I need them for.

Anyways, thanks for reading this if you did!!! I just needed to vent. I feel like I am in constant worry of my health, that if I even get a little short of breathe, I feel like i am having some sort of allergic reaction.

And about the Klonapin, any stories would be great....

I took it for a few months about .5mg 2 times a day. No side affects except for sleepy but works longer than xanax. Dont be scared to take it. You will feel better. Take it at night before bed with your zoloft. I liked it and it worked. I am now on Cymbalta for long term.

Thanks for replying...I know that post was a little all over the place, but i was just kinda trying to explain what i feel like is possibly the root of my anxiety. Also I wanted to mention, has anyone has problems sleeping because of Zoloft? I began taking it at night, and was having terrible insomnia, so I am now taking it in the morning. The reason I ask about Klonipin is because on this board you seem to read alot more abotu xanax than any others...

I thank you for your response and welcome others to share their experiences with klonipin with me

It would be much appreciated...I have found on this board that many people suffer from health anxiety, which i feel is exactly what I have!
