Felt like CHOKING-and HYPERVENTILATED,so Scared - Anxiety Message Board

Hi guys, I need help I have some thyroid nodules from hypothyroid and they which make it hard for me to swollow, and now I am focusing on that so much that I was eating a pretzel and had to drink so much water and then i panicked and thought i woudl choke and ran to my husband to call 911, I almost passed out it was horrible, now I am scared of staying alone, I decided to take something to calm me down since i am now scared of eating, I had some ativan left and am taking it, but then my BP has been so low I just hope it doesnt lower it even more today it was 80/54 now its a bit higher but I hope I made the right choice, if you know of any better meds for anxiety let me know

anxiety is horrible, and I also have adrenal fatigue so that causes anxiety, anyway I just wish that this stops because hyperventilating while being alone with my kids is too scary, thanks god hubby is on vacation.

You had a panic attack. Don't stop eating, just go slowly and don't focus so much on everything you eat. Just eat normally.

thyroid problems can be almost the same as a panic attack

Hey guys and Thanks for your responses I am trying to keep eating but at this point I am too scared.. hubby says that he will be next to me when I eat he even cooked for me i hope this ativan helps me god knows I have had a rough day
