For those taking 10mg Lexapro...do you just get prescriptions for 20mgs and cut them in half? It gives you twice the supply at the same price...

same here. dr. gave the the 10's and i only take 5mg. does the pill cutter work? i am having an awful time cutting the little buggers evenly.

pill cutters are wonderful little inventions ... pretty cheap too from any pharmacist.

Isn't it nuts how they cost the same no matter the dosage?
I take a Migraine Med that comes in 1mg or 2.5 twice the medication and yet it cost the same?
I do this too with cutting them. If you lay it flat on the counter with the line facing upwards and press on either side it will break pretty well.
I take 20 mg and what I do (my Dr. said it was okay) is break them and take parts throughout the day. I take 10mg first thing in the morning, then a half around 11 and the other half around 3. This gives me a nice balance of the effects all day long and I sleep like a rock.
