convinced i have mono - but i'd be dead by now.

i've been tired&achey lately so i pretty much convinced myself that i have mono - even though i probably don't. i don't have a soar throat, my glands are all good, my liver&spleen aren't inflamed, no fever (i went to the docs tuesday.)

but for some reason i think i have mono.

there's the hypochondria setting in

i had tryouts today for soccer which were really intense, but i know that you're not supposed to do vigurous exercise if you have mono because your spleen can become inflamed&burst. so i'd probably be like. dead right now. correct?

i just had pains under both of my ribs whenever i walked. maybe i'm dehydrated or something? anyone have any experience with this? thanks.

I'm taking it that your young right? Not sure of your age but if your in your teens your body is still growing and you can be achy from "growing pains" Under your ribs are muscles sweetie. Yes, water can help you, drink LOTS of it. I have anxiety and I highly believe the best way to relieve it is to face things head on. Go to the doctor and get checked if you have the fear. If you EVER think you have a disease the get checked, a doctor can only make you live longer with medication. I am not a doctor so I can not advise you on anything. Go get checked, there are Sooooo many things out there a person can get it's a roulette. Your body just may need some exercise too. If you lie around and do nothing your body will stiffen up and ache. Good luck. I hope you make the soccor team!

Re: convinced i have mono - but i'd be dead by now.

pains while exercising around that area could just be stitches - where you don't breathe efficiently so lactic acid builds up a little quicker than normal (the 'cure' is to run through it, making sure you breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth)

Unless you know that it felt different to a stitch

Or you could have pulled a muscle

Or, as said, it could be growing pains (we all had 'em)
