anxiety and dating
My problem is that I have crazy anxiety panic attacks which involve me having gag reactions whenever I think about or am near someone that I am attracted to. I find it hard to date people I am attracted to because of this embarrassing problem. I really would rather not take any medication. Any suggestions? I have always been sort of a shy, introverted, slightly socially anxious person..but it's not extreme where I can't talk to people or go out.

Hi Prise:

Since you are able to go out and talk to people, I suggest group dating or double dating to ease you into getting to know someone you are attracted to. It might take the pressure off. Sorry you're going through this. Best of luck.

gagging and other throat problems are common for anxiety sufferers, valium as needed helps a lot as it relaxes the muscles, dont be too proud to take it, it will improve your confidence in social situations a lot

excessive pride is a reason many anxiety sufferers dont get better
remember to drink less as alcahol reacts with valium
