Re: going to social events....

sarah,
Did you notice that when you were pregnant last time, that your anxiety lessened. I just wonder this as with my 2 babies , well they are now 18 & 20,so no longer babies, I dont recall any anxiety, I believe this to be because we have something else to think about instead of our fears.Anyone else found this to be true.?

Re: going to social events....

Sue,

I did have anxiety during my pregnany but I didn't know it at the time. I just felt stressed all the time but never thought twice about it. I didn't get hit hard with anxiety/panic attacks until right before my baby's first birthday almost 9 months ago. We had just moved, her first birthday was coming along with Christmas and I'm told that all of this is what set off the anxiety. I never had any panic attacks until December. I had no idea what was wrong with me, I went to numerous specialist and of course thought the worst everytime. My doctor gave me Xanax in January which I never took until March. Not sure why I let myself suffer for so long since its been such a big help to me.

I'm hoping to not have any anxiety while pregnant....that would be great!!! My doctor always reminds me that some seem to have worst anxiety too. Ugh! Guess I'll find out when that time comes....

Re: going to social events....

oh like you needed to know that from the doctor !never helps when they give out negatives.
Deleting negatives from your brain and replacing them with positives is the way to go.
Did your team win by the way ?
I'm a rugby watcher ( new Zealand, the All Blacks ) guessing you are grid iron ?

Re: going to social events....

Yes, my team (Notre Dame) did win. It was very exciting! I've never been a UofM fan and thats who they played so it was quite exciting to see them win against them. Unfortunately those UofM fans are such sore losers, they took out their anger by throwing garbage and stale marshmallows at us. :/ Oh well, at least I had a good time. Thanks for asking, by the way.
