Question Celexa...for Anxiety?

My Dr. wants to switch me from Luvox to Celexa because it is supposed to be better for anxiety.

Has any one used this for anxiety?

Re: Celexa...for Anxiety?

I used it for panic attacks and it was very helpful.

Re: Celexa...for Anxiety?

For me, it made things much worse.

Everyone is different. So you're not really going to know how you will react to it unless you try it yourself.

Re: Celexa...for Anxiety?

I found it helpful for the anxiety but didn't like the side effects so I switched to Zoloft which I liked better although I've been off both for a few months now. It just depends on your body and what works, the good news is that there are so many options but it can be a pain to figure out which works best and is somethign you can live with.

Good luck

Re: Celexa...for Anxiety?

if the luvox is helping your anxiety I would stay on it, maybe upping the dose
if not then maybe try the celexa
be doubtful if a doc wants to change your meds for no good reason

Re: Celexa...for Anxiety?

Celexa helped me but gave terrible sexual side effects. I'm trying Wellbutrin, but it seems to be making matters worse.
