Hello. I was prescribed .25 mg of Xanax to take only when needed during anxiety or panic attacks. Aside from the fact that this drug is addictive...is it safe? I am one of those that has a fear of taking medications. I am always worried the side effects will kill me or an allergic reaction. I also think I will OD even on a small amount. I know it's stupid but the fear is real. I won't even take tylenol. So I have taken one...went through my moment of anxiety hoping I won't die...then felt better and slept better than I have in a long time. How soon after taking the 1st pill can I take another if my anxiety comes back. I called a pharmacist and he was no help. He said that the pill will last in my system for a couple days?! I also get a headache about 30 min after taking the pill and the pharmacist said that is not common. He said it wasn't on the list of side effects so should I be worried that this is a bad reaction? Thanks for any advice you can help me with.
