Re: still with these pains
I've had the exact same kind of pains, but even for longer periods and more severe starting about a year ago. I haven't had any health insurance either. It got so bad, I went into an emergency clinic last February and they did a chest x-ray, EKG, and checked my vitals and they all came back normal. Because I smoke though, the doctor told me with my symptoms that I should go into Emergency and get checked out. Well, without insurance, I wasn't going to do that, because I had been there a year before and all my tests came out normal. The ER doctor actually told me I was very healthy??? LOL! But this clinic doctor told me the only way to be sure it wasn't heart related, was to do a treadmill stress test. Luckily, I found this place in my area where they strictly do testing, and it only cost $120 to get it done. I was scared to death, but went and did it. The techs that performed it told me they couldn't give me the results, that I'd have to wait to get them in the mail from the doctor that reviewed it, but I begged them to tell me whether I was okay or not, and the tech told winked at me, and told me not to lose any sleep over it. The other tech told me I did better than she would have. The actual results came back with no signs of any heart related problems, and all the other readings were good, if not real good. I almost constantly get pain in my left arm though, and pains in my back and chest, just like you describe. Stomach problems have the exact same symptoms as heart problems, and that's why they can't be sure without the proper testing. You might want to look in your area and see if there is a testing facility that will just give you the stress test, so you can put your mind at ease. It's very unsettling to get left arm and chest pain, even now that I know it's not my heart, but it has helped put my mind at ease somewhat. Hope this helps!
