Which antidepressant med??? - Anxiety Message Board

With so many choices out there now, which antidepressant med do you think is the most effective for social anxiety??? Also which has the least side effects do you think? I just went off of zoloft about 1 month or so ago, and I'm now considering going back on an antidepressant, but I wanta hear your opinions or experiences. So please share with me.

So...what antidepressant are you on and does it help? Also what are the side effects and would you recomend it?

I am taking lexapro 10mg and have been back on it for a few weeks. I move up to 20mg this week. I think it is wonderful for anxiety/panic and social anxiety, for me anyway. I took zoloft before and even though I loved the energy from it, it made me really shaky. The main side effect I have from lex is I'm still a little tired and I've gained 5 pounds. That really scares me, but I haven't been making the best choices, so it's as much me as the lex.
