Unhappy Do you ever feel like some is just wrong?

Hey everyone. So I post quit a bit but for the ones who dont know about me I will do a slight review. I have been suffering from extreme anxiety for about a year now. I had my first really bad panick attack in feb of 05. Ever since then things got worse and worse. I couldnt leave my house, I was in constant worry. Then I was put on zoloft. Im currently takinf 50 mg. It has helped me a lot. I can go out now, I work a full time job, and im trying to finish up school. (im 17). Sooo..on with my problem. Some days I will feel like something is wrong. I cant pinpoint it. I dont know what it is. I jsut feel like something is wrong with me. Does anyone ever get this? This morning I woke up several times and fell back asleep. Everytime I woke up I would think "something is wrong with me, I feel wierd". Then when I finally actually got up this morning I felt it really strong like something was wrong. Then I got freaked out that i have a brain tumor thats making me think this or is what is making me feel like there is something wrong. Does anyone ever have this happen to them? I just feel helpless like I cant enjoy my life if I know something is happeneing to me. I just need some reassurance I guess. Sorry this is so long. THanks

Re: Do you ever feel like some is just wrong?

Hello Anxiety1234
Don't feel bad. I do the same thing. Actually today is one of my "Bad Days". It's worse for me in the morning and then lightens up a bit until evening and then the "Something is wrong with me - I think I have a terminal illness" hits hard again. What ever disease I'm worring about at the time completely consumes my every thought. I even have all the symptoms. I hate living like this. Many people don't understand this. If you can find someone that feels the same way and understands your anxiety and health concerns - use them as your support buddy. This helps alot. My sister is the same way so when ever I have cancer, heart didease, stroke, MS, Parkinsons, ect...ect...(the list goes on and on) I call her and talk about it. It makes me feel better and calms me down. Sometimes I have to call her several times a day but hey, thats what a health anxiety buddy is for!

Re: Do you ever feel like some is just wrong?

I am 43 and never felt like that until a year and a half ago, but now constantly have thoughts like that. It seems crazy! But I know from reading everyone's posts on here, it's just normal for anxiety. It's really sad that such young people are having all these fears. I just have to wonder, between TV and the Internet, do we just get too bombarded with health issues? The more diseases you hear about, the more it gets your mind going? I truly hate those prescription ads! I just wonder why so many young people are having so many fears and anxiety about their health.

Re: Do you ever feel like some is just wrong?

I am feeling the exact same way. For a while now i just have a feeling there is something wrong with me..i just dont feel like me. At times i wonder if im losing my mind. With my anxiety i have become more aware of my breathing and on a bad day i get scared i wont be able to keep breathing. I have been like this for about two weeks now. The past five months or so my family has gone through some very rough and tough times and i feel i have reached my breaking pt and my symptoms are showing this. Its just been awhile since i feel llike me.

Re: Do you ever feel like some is just wrong?

I'm 18, and a college freshman, so we're about the same age. I have panic attacks each and every day, many times for unknown reasons or for reasons that don't warrant a panic attack, an example being waiting to go to my next class when I have an hour break or something... My CBT therapist says that she thinks I'm constantly on this barrier of feeling "safe" and every little thing pushes me into the "not safe" category, and I find this to be quite true. Many of my panic attacks are from, as you described, just not feeling "right", and it's this uncomfortable feeling of foreboding and impending doom...
