Xanax and Benadryl - Anxiety Message Board

Has anyone taken Benadryl when taking Xanax? I took a .025mg of Xanax and then started feeling itchy all over (probably fromsomething I ate since I have taken Xanax before and am not allergic to it).

Anyone out there taken the two safetly?

There are no known interactions between the two. You may want to be extra careful however, they will make you very sleepy together. This was advice I had received from my pharmacist, but you may want to check with your dr if at all unsure. Hope you feel better!

Livelife2love... Hey there, just a note to you, I am on xanax daily, and I have to take benadryl because of sinus problems, I take them on a daily basis.. But again, I'd check with your doctor, if you are all concerned.. But yes, they do make you sleepy when you take them together, I usually take mine at night... Good luck.. Hope you get rid of your itching.....

Just because you've taken Xanax before and were not allergic, doesn't mean you can't be allergic....you can become allergic.............why take Xanax anyway??????????

Soooooooooo addictive.............there are other meds out there.

No one would take Benzos, including Xanax, if the "other meds" worked for all of us!
