Is it possible to have an anxiety/panic attack without a racing heart?

Tonight I walked into the living room and I got dizzy and my left arm became sorta numb and I got the usual feeling that I get when I realize that I am having a panic attack then all of a sudden, and I am talking like seconds from walking into the living room and feeling weird, my wife comes through the door from work and it was like she interrupted my panic/anxiety attack.

Can you have a panic/anxiety attack without a racing heartbeat? Just before she walked thru the door I checked my pulse and it was normal.

I am on alprazolam and I went 23 hours without taking one and I took 1MG at 3pm so I wouldnt have withdrawal (doc's orders) and I have yet to take one since.

Yes, they call it a limited symptom attack. It can feel like you have jelly legs (that was my primary symptom) and sudden sweating. I first thought I was having "hot flashes," but later I realized they were panic attacks, because now I don't have them any more.

Yep. Not everyone has every panic symptom, rapid heartrate is one of the most common symptoms, but that doesn't mean everyone will experience that symptom with every attack. I have a slow pulse with an attack every now and then.

What did your Doc have to say about your slow heartbeat/rate?

How slow does it go?
