| Re: Is anxiety causing anger and blowing up?
Usually the anger is a side effect of basically being exhausted with the anxiety. You just feel so keyed up and stressed (even if you don't consciously realize it) that little things set you off. There are SSRIs that may help you with that, Prozac, Zoloft, Paxil, and related meds are actually sometimes prescribed to people with anger problems. So if it is becoming an increasing problem, I'd talk to your doc about it. There are meds that can help the anxiety AND this, which really is probably related to anxiety. I know I can snap and get easily exhausted when I'm worried about something or having lots of panic attacks. I once stormed off a job after a week of panic attacks----someone was being very rude and just set me off (and I'm a pretty laid back person). So you're not alone, but don't let this problem go on, after all, you don't want to take out your anxiety/anger issues on your wife, you need her in your corner. Take care.
