Paxil......small dose, will withdrawals be any easier ??

I have just started taking Paxil about a week ago, but have read about the withdrawals, and it's literally scaring me to death. I'm only taking 10mg, and will not go any higher up, and if i have to, I would rather not take. My question is, if i stay at the low dose, and decide to go off, will the withdrawals be any easier once I wean off, and take less time, than of course a larger dose.

Re: Paxil......small dose, will withdrawals be any easier ??

I too just started the 10 mg about a week ago
I do feel a little better but also take lorazapam 1 mg
A few years ago, I started on 20 mg and then I took Paxil 30 mg and just gradually cut back on it
I can honestly say, I did not have any withdrawal
Do you feel any better yet from the Paxil?

Re: Paxil......small dose, will withdrawals be any easier ??

A little better, not worrying as much over little things, such as bills, etc... But I do still have the tummy upset, with decreased appetite, and some headaches, which I hope will subside. Also, I did take Paxil about a yr ago, and had a horrible panic attack in the middle of the night, but I was also tweaking my doses every couple of days, and that may have contributed to it, and I quit after that attack.
I've just heard so many horror stories on the withdrawals, that's why i want to stay on the lowest dose as possible, and also I have my librax if i need it, which is reassuring.
It is comforting to hear from someone who did get thru the withdrawal.
