I love acupuncture. I feel an extreme sense of wellness after a session, and a rush of calm. Always make sure you go to a licensed professional, the place is clean and spotless, and you get a good vibe. If not, leave and find another practitioner. I can't say that acupuncture has helped my anxiety that much over the long haul, but it has helped other ailments, and I do feel calmer for a day or two after a treatment. I've done the traditional acupuncture, and the moxibustion (where they heat the needles) but I don't do the electrical stimulation one that some practitioners use. That just freaks me out. I recommend acupuncture to many friends, even if you don't have a specific ailment, it gives you a feeling of wellness.
