I've been on buspar 6 weeks. My new doctor added xanax and paxil and wants me to cut the buspar in half for a week and then in half for another week and then off of it. I don't feel comfortable taking so many meds. I also take atenolol 25mg. Has anyone been on these meds together and what kinds of side effects did you have? I took xanax for the first time at 4am, a little over 2 hours ago. I only took half so 0.25. It is making me sleepy but I still feel the anxiety and the dull chest pain which seems to be 24/7 now. It was my understanding the xanax takes away the anxiety and thus the symptoms also disappear.......was i wrong? I'm really tired of this pain and the palps are bad too.......ugh.......
