natalie, A panic attack is not going to harm you. The release of adrenaline during a panic attack may cause some very unpleasant sensations but you will be fine. Also the xanax will help as well, but even without it you'll still be just fine. One of the big misconceptions is that something terrible is going to happen during a PA - it's not - it's only adrenaline. Just knowing that nothing bad is going to happen has kept some people from having future panic attacks. Write back if you need to. I'll be around for a good while longer. Steve

but yes they are scary and logic often goes out the window. If I know it's going to be a bad one I take 2 tabs instead of one.
