Relentless Stomach Problems - Anxiety Message Board

I am just curious. I experienced relentless stomach pain and sickness especially in the morning, but also to a lesser extent throughout the day. I am taking Xanax now and it is gone, but has anyone else had the major stomach issues. For me this was probably the most debilitating symptom of my anxiety. The mornings were usually by far the worst though.

Hi Mat, I get the stomach pains, I was told it can be very common to have irritable bowels from anxiety. Mine too hurts bad in the morning, and after I take my Xanax it pretty much goes away. Weird, but hey, if it works. Take Care, Michelle

IBS is probably the worst part in my opinion. Thank god for Xanax.
LOL. Anyway, thanks for the responses, I am noticing a slight reccurence of the stomach pain even on 1.5 mg of Xanax. May be tim to increase the dosage a little. Thanks again!

I have it also, and have had it for yrs and yrs, it's a Nervous Stomach . I never knew it was anxiety, until I researched it. Then I realized I also had other symptoms of anixety, not even the doctors could figure it out. But yes, I also have IBS, and Acid Reflux, which has progressed to Barretts, guess that kinda goes with it for some.
