Talking Two weeks on Lexapro at 20mg

and I think it is starting to work. I feel better but not 100% there yet. I do have some side effects that are a little disturbing like Acne but Iam sure it will clean it self up. I have been searching for a new med since May and it seems like (knock on wood) this may be helping. I write this to let you guys know that there is always a way to get better and never stop searching for good health. I am not out of the woods...but I feel better. Thansk

Great to hear you're feeling better. This world of anxiety stinks big time. I've had anxiety since I was 18, 25 now and it comes and goes. I'll go for 2 years or so and then some little symptom comes up and I freak out for months with numerous trips to the doctor. I am going crazy.

Maybe I will start to feel better again hopefully.

Re: Two weeks on Lexapro at 20mg

Well..that was short lived. The anxiety came back pretty damn quickly. Here is my questions...there seems to be only 1 medication that has worked for me in the last 6 years and that is Celexa. Lexapro (although similiar) does not do the job for me. I am am looking for someone that did well on Celexa and not well on Lexapro. My Dr. does not like the idea of me going to Celexa after Lexapro if Lex didnt work. I did this 3 years ago and it worked. I am convinced that Celexa is the only one that will work for me.

I was on Lexapro and it took 8 weeks to kick in.... I didn't like it. I don't think it worked for me. I am now on Celexa and I love it.

Re: Two weeks on Lexapro at 20mg

When it comes down to it you are in control of your health care! Tell your doctor to give you Celexa and if he refuses see a different doctor! I'll tell ya, I've just about had it with some doctors! You know what works so demand to change.....be firm.....be mean, whatever works

Take Care,
Tori
