Question for anyone ! - Anxiety Message Board

I was wondering if any of you that are on xanex are also on prilosec ? Have been on both for a few years and take 1/2 xanex along with prilosec and vitamins with my breakfast each a.m. For YEARS by the time I am getting to work I am a little dizzy, feel like I have fog brain and sort of out of it..NEVER have put this together but just now read about side effects of prilosec and one is dizziness and can be affected with taking zanex. Anyone have this experience. Guess I'm trying "on my own" to figure out why I feel so crappy every a.m. as Dr. can't..it's ANXIETY !!!! Thanks to anyone that can help me out...

I take both prilosec otc and xanax but my doctor and pharmacist said to not take the prilosec together with the xanax, it should be at least an hour before or after. It doesn't make me dizzy though when I do take it. Maybe you should ask your doctor or pharmacist?

I also take Prilosec every morning with my Xanax. I have not noticed any dizziness. You may need to up your does of Xanax a little because feeling crappy in the morning we one of my worst symptoms. That and severe stomach pain. That is why I take the combination. It could be making you dizzy, but I would think the effect would be short lived and not very severe. You should talk to your doctor. You may just need an increase in Xanax. That is really strange that we all take the same drugs. Coincidence? I don't think so. I really think that the combo really works for me. Are you guys having as good of luck with this as I am. I feel almost 95% better when on Xanax 2mg per day and Priolosec OTC one time a day.

Just curious. This could be a helpful combo with people with stomach related anxiety.
