Anxiety and exhaustion??? - Anxiety Message Board

Hello everyone!! I am very glad to have found this board. I am a 30 year old, 19 year anxiety sufferer. I have awful health axiety and my life is consumed with the fear of being diagnosed with a terminal illness. When I was younger, I attributed my anxiety feelings to a brain tumor, and swore I was dying from it. I am still terrified of getting a brain tumor to this day.

My newest symptom is exhaustion. Can anxiety cause this???? I don't sleep very well since I have been so anxious lately, but I do get about 6-7 hours a night. I am ok during the day, but by about 5pm I get so, so tired. When I worry about why I am so tired, I get lightheaded, too! Does anyone else's anxiety make them tired all the time??

hi i find when my anxiety is going through a bad stage i feel tired from the moment i get up i on average get 4 to 5 hours sleep a night and yes it can make me lightheaded and spacey.its a vicious circle the anxiety causes sleep issues and then that causes you to be more anxious.im 35 and had this for 20 years and sometimes im alot better and other times im awful.try bach remedies from a health shop they take the edge off things.exhaustion is all part of anxiety and usually eases whenyour more calm and your anxiety is improving.ope this helps x
