Going to the doctor tomorrow...again! - Anxiety Message Board

I have decided to go to the doctor to get some Prozac.I have tried Wellbutrin,Lexapro,Effexor,Xanax.All of these within the last two months.I cannot tolerate any of them.I am VERY stressed out and need something to help me.I develop a new pain about every five minutes it seems.I have PMS and cramps.I have a strange pain in my lower back.I am sure it is cramps.I get severe strange cramps every month.Yet every month I get all freaked out and worry.I am worried that I may have appendesitis(sp?).This is actually refreshing because I normally worry I will have a heart attack.It is no wonder nobody ever calls me.I have to call my friends if I want to talk to them.I guess they aren't really very good friends.I am going through heck right now and nobody cares.OK.That is the entire pity party.Thanks for coming!It is nice to have someone to vent to even if it is a computer screen.I am sick of listening to my own whining!Let's hope that Prozac doesn't make me sick.I NEED SOME MEDICINE!!!

Hey-
sorry to hear that you are suffering. I suffered greatly until I got the right meds. My anxiety and depression caused serious body aches so my doctor, who is so much wiser in meds than I am, put me on cymbalta and wellbutrin and I have to say that cymbalta worked wonders for me!!

I would suggest cymbalta, especially for the pains you have.

It does take time. Do you have a good therapist?

Thanks for the advice.I hesitate to try new meds.It is so horrible the side effects you get.I am not going to a therapist at all,actually.I am kinda scared to.I am having a stressful time right now and I think if I make it through this I will be alright.I will talk to the doctor about the Cymbalta.I was on wellbutrin but my husband(whose suggestion is to just not take meds cause they have side effects and whose advice is to just "stop worrying")said he thought that it was making me irritable.

what kind of body aches comes with anxiety. i have sever anxiety and right now not taking abything. i am very sensitive to medicine. i am probably going back on lexapro. i have crazy body aches too. just wondering what kind of body aches do they classify as part of anxiety.
